update on the polycount challenge. Given that nocturne is the eternal nightmare and that nightmares are by and large unique to the individual, I thought perhaps it would be a good idea, to think of him integrated into an environment. He himself, must have a readable form of some sort, as per the challenge, but I'd like to integrate him into an evening environment & I think the idea of him being extremely large is also a good idea since there are people all over the globe who each have their own nightmares. I also like the idea of the painting being surreal, as nightmares are, and having masses of people traveling into nocturne. Sleep is a part of life, unavoidable, physiological...autonomy need not apply.
Addendum--I'm fairly satisfied with the idea, but not the representation of the character itself. However, I like the black and white aspect...reminds me of those "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" books I used to read as a kid. Those black and white illustrations were always very unique & creepy. I should probably use those as reference.
